Joe "Magnus" Rivers is a Colonel in the Marine Corps and a capable leader of his team. He has a cross to bear with one of his team and her name is Emily Patterson. She's the worst Marine he has ever seen and it tries his patience. His thinking she's beautiful certainly doesn't help things.

Emily Patterson is undercover as a Marine to uncover a human trafficking ring with the military. To maintain her cover she has to be a screw up, which she does well. She is examining her team as she goes along. She's not sure who she can trust. She sure hopes she can trust the Colonel but she can't let her attraction to him get in her way.

This story was pretty fast moving, suspenseful and hot. I enjoyed it a great deal. The suspense of the story was very good. I had a good time trying to figure out whodunit. Reading the villain's further descent into madness was a little scary also. I would suggest this book to anyone who loves romantic suspense. Not for Anne.
