Hayden and Sierra work at a Las Vegas casino called The Serafina. He is second in command in security and she is head chef at the hotel restaurant. They met there and became friends. Sierra has wanted Hayden since they met but figured he was way out of her league. Not to mention he was way more experienced sexually than her. Sierra is a twenty-two year old virgin. Hayden is thirty-two and an ex-SEAL. Sex has always been easy to find for him but since he met Sierra, he hasn't slept with anyone. He didn't want anyone but her.
This worked for me in every way. SEAL? Check. Virginal heroine? Check. Las Vegas? Check. A little suspense thrown in? Check. Low conflict? Check. Hot love scenes? Check. It's a novella so it is short in length but I loved it. I thought it was sweet and hot. A great start to a new series for Katie Reus and one I will most certainly be reading.
